I honestly love weddings like Emma and Aeron’s.
No fuss, no pressure, no worrying about making everything perfect. Just two people getting married surrounded by the people they love most.
Their wedding took place at Beaconsfield Registry Office and from the moment I arrived, there was such a lovely atmosphere. Family and friends were gathering, chatting and catching up while everyone waited for the ceremony to begin.
Of course, every wedding has its little moments that don’t quite go to plan, and honestly, they’re usually the moments everyone remembers most.
Emma was running a little late arriving, which only added to the anticipation. Meanwhile, Aeron was doing his best to look calm while waiting for his bride.
Then came the discovery that every groom dreads.
The rings had been forgotten.
As soon as it happened, I couldn’t help but think of Four Weddings and a Funeral when Hugh Grant’s character forgets the rings. Thankfully, the registrar stepped in and managed to save the day by lending the couple two rings so the ceremony could continue.
Instead of panic, it simply brought laughter.
When it came time for the ring exchange and Emma realised what had happened, she burst out laughing. It was one of those genuine moments that no amount of planning could ever create and one that perfectly summed up the relaxed and joyful atmosphere of the day.
Emma’s Arrival
When Emma finally arrived, she looked absolutely beautiful.
She wore an elegant lace wedding dress that suited her perfectly and as she walked down the aisle with her proud father by her side, her smile stretched from cheek to cheek.
Those are the moments that remind everyone what the day is really about.
Not perfect timelines.
Not perfect details.
Just pure happiness.
A Ceremony Filled With Laughter
The ceremony itself was full of warmth, laughter and genuine emotion.
As a documentary wedding photographer, these are the moments I love most. The unexpected moments. The reactions. The little bits of chaos that become the stories couples tell for years afterwards.
Nothing felt staged.
Nothing felt forced.
It was simply Emma and Aeron enjoying every second of getting married.
Exploring Beaconsfield Afterwards
If you’ve never visited the Old Town in Beaconsfield, it’s well worth a visit.
It’s full of beautiful historic buildings and character, making it a fantastic backdrop for wedding photographs.
One little fact that many people don’t realise is that fans of AfterLife might recognise parts of the area. The nearby church featured in the series, while the Registry Office itself was used as the nursing home where Tony’s father lived.
With its historic streets and charming surroundings, it gave us plenty of beautiful locations for photographs after the ceremony.
On To The Party
After the photographs, everyone made their way to High Wycombe Cricket Club for the reception.
When I first met Emma and Aeron, they told me their wedding was basically going to be one big party.
They weren’t wrong.
The celebrations kicked off with an incredible spread of Jamaican food which went down an absolute treat with guests.
From there, the atmosphere just kept building.
The laughter got louder.
The dance floor got busier.
And the whole day turned into exactly what they had promised me from the beginning — one mega party surrounded by the people they love most.
Why Days Like This Matter
Looking back through Emma and Aeron’s gallery, it’s not the forgotten rings or the delayed arrival that stand out on their own.
It’s the way everyone reacted.
The laughter.
The smiles.
The fact that nobody stressed about the things that didn’t go perfectly.
Because at the end of the day, that’s what weddings are really about.
Not perfection.
Just people.
Love.
Family.
Friends.
And making memories together.
